The SIG stems from research and professional practice over the past ten years about art therapy and giftedness. Specifically, the purposes of the SIG focus on two main areas:

• Spread knowledge and share experiences about the role of art therapy in supporting gifted individuals' challenges during their life span. Members' experiences as well as their suggestions and needs will structure future activities and promote community belonging.
• To further investigate the research field of art therapy applied to giftedness by providing references and resources, in addition to theoretical frameworks Promote lectures and readings by guest speakers within Mensa activities. Online monthly meetings will be scheduled.
